Regular eye exams by an eye doctor can help you be certain your child's vision is developing normally.  Many changes can occur without you or you child noticing therefore Dr. Dittman follows the American Optometric Association (AOA) guidelines for children's eye exams.  The AOA states the first eye exam should be at 6 months of age, again at 3 years, at 5 years of age and then every year to two years after that depending on circumstances.  At Dittman Eyecare we have a child friendly staff and we use flat screen monitors with multiple cartoons to help get the child comfortable and the proper information for the exam.  We welcome children of all ages for routine eye exams or special needs.
